We have
=> x² + 2√2x + 6 = 0
=> x² + 3√2x - √2x + 6 = 0
=> x(x + 3√2) -√2(x + 3√2) = 0
=> (x - √2)(x + 3√2) = 0
Thus
=> x = √2
or
=> x = -3√2
