60=12*5

y^2+7y-60

y^2+12y-5y-60

y(y+12)-5(y+12)

y+12=0 y=-12

y-5=0. y=5

hope this helps u

Answer:

5 and -12

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to find out zeros of given polynomial y² + 7y - 60

y² + 7y - 60 = 0

y + 12y - 5y  -60 = 0

y(y + 12) - 5(y + 12) = 0

(y + 12)(y - 5) = 0

If y + 12 = 0, so y= -12

If y - 5 = 0, so y = 5

Zeros of given quadratic polynomial are 5 and -12
