Answer :

x = -3 , -5/2

Solution :

Here ,

The given quadratic polynomial is ;

2x² + x - 15

Now ,

In order to find the zeros of the given quadratic polynomial , let's equate it to zero .

Thus ,

=> 2x² + x - 15 = 0

=> 2x² + 6x - 5x - 15 = 0

=> 2x(x + 3) - 5(x + 3) = 0

=> (x + 3)(2x - 5) = 0

=> Either (x + 3) = 0 or (2x - 5) = 0

• If x + 3 = 0 , then x = -3

• If 2x - 5 = 0 , then x = -5/2

Hence ,

x = -3 , -5/2
