\bf{Question} :- Find the zeroes of the quadratic polynomial 3x^2 +5x-2 .

3 {x}^{2} + 5x - 2 = 0

 \bf{ \red{step \: 1 - }decide \: the \: factors}

3 \times 2 = 6 = 6 - 1

Here, we will not take 2+3 =5 because our constant term 2 has a minus sign, so we will take the factors that come in subtraction.

 \bf{ \blue{step \: 2 - }solve \: by \: middle \: term \: splitting}

3 {x}^{2} + (6 - 1)x - 2 = 0

3 {x}^{2} + 6x - x - 2 = 0

3x(x + 2) - 1(x + 2) = 0

(3x - 1)(x + 2) = 0

3x - 1 = 0

x = \frac{1}{3}

x + 2 = 0

x = - 2

\textbf{So two zeroes are 1/3 and -2}
