hey mate

given here

x^2 +2x -1.=0

by using formula

x=[ - b ± {b^2-4ac}]/2a

so,

x= [-2±{4-4×1×-1}]/2

= [-2±{8}]/2

=( -2±22)/2

=-1±2

take here +ve and -ve sign .

so,if take +ve sign

x= -1+2

and if take -ve sign

x= -2-2

thus:

zeroes of polynomial will be

-1+2 and -1 -2

I hopes its helps u.

Answer:

=x²+2x+1

=x²+x+x+1

=x(x+1)+1(x+1)

=(x+1)(x+1)

x+1=0

⇒x= -1

∴zeroes of this polynomial are -1 and -1
