Hey !

2x² - 3x - 2 =0

=> 2x² - 4x + x - 2 =0 [Using Spliting method)

=> 2x ( x - 2) +1 ( x - 2) = 0

=> ( 2x + 1 ) ( x - 2) = 0

2x + 1 = 0

x = - 1/2

and 2nd , x = 2

Hence there is two zero , - 1/2 and 2

Hope this helps !!

2x^2-3x-2=0
2x^2-4x+x-2=0
2x(x-2)+1(x-2)=0
(x-2)(2x+1)=0
x-2=0
x=2
2x+1=0
2x=-1
x=-1/2
x=2,-1/2 are answers
