♠ Let two complementary angles be x and y.

Then., as we know the sum of two complementary angles is 90°.

x + y = 90 ° ➝ ( i )

According to the question,

x - y = 18 ° ➝ ( ii )

Now Adding equation ( ii ) from ( i ),

X + y + ( x - y ) = 90 ° + 18 °

2 x = 108 °

x = 108 ° / 2

x = 54 °

Now putting value of x in equation ( i ),

x + y = 90 °

y = 90 ° - x

y = 90 ° - 54°

y = 36 °.

➤ The required angles are 54 ° and 36°.
