p(x) =  {x}^{2}  - 3 \\  {x}^{2}  - 3 = 0 \\  {x}^{2}  = 3 \\ x =  \sqrt{3}  \\ or \: x =  -  \sqrt{3}

Answer-

x = x²-3

x²-3-x = 0

x²-x-3 =0

Using quadratic formula we get

1+- √1+12/ 2

= 1+-√13/2

The zeroes are

1+√13/2 and 1-√13/2
