Solution :

Given p(x) = x² - 9

Let p(x) = 0

=> x² - 9 = 0

=> x² - 3² = 0

=> ( x + 3 )( x - 3 ) = 0

x + 3 = 0 or x - 3 = 0

x = -3 or x = 3

Therefore

-3 , 3 are zeroes of p(x).
