x^2+x-12

x^2+x-12 verify the relation between zeros and the cofficant

Solution -

+ x - 12

x ² + 4x - 3x - 12

x ( x + 4 ) - 3 ( x + 4 )

( x + 4 ). ( x - 3 )

x + 4 = 0. .. x - 3 = 0

x = 0 - 4 x = 0 + 3

x = -4. x = 3

Verification :

sum of zeroes =

 -  \frac{ - coeffient \: of \: x}{coeffient \: of \:  {x}^{2}  }

- 4 + 3 =.- 1 / 1

- 1 = - 1

Product of zeroes =

 \frac{constant \: term}{coe \: of \:  {x}^{2} }

- 4 x 3 = -12 / 1
