x-1 + x + x+1 = -72
3x = -72
x = -24
Therefore the numbers are -25, -24 and -23.

krishna7278: how it is coming -23 and -25
starsuraj: see i took the tgree no. to be (x-1), (x) and (x+1).........then i got x to be -24.........so, (x-1) would be -25 and (x+1) would be -23

Let the three consecutive numbers be x,x+1 and x+2
A/Q
x + x + 1 + x + 2 =  - 72 \\  =  > 3x =  - 75 \\  =  > x =  \frac { 75}{3} \\  =  > x = -  25 \\ so \: the \: numbers \: are \:  - 25 \:  - 24 \: and \:  - 23
