let the three consecutive numbers be x ;x + 1 ,X + 2

according to the question ;

3 ( X + 1 )- (X + X + 2) is equal to 176

3x+3-(2x +2)=176

3 X + 3 -2x -2= 176

X+1=176

X=175

X+1=176

X+2=177

Step-by-step explanation:

let us assume the number as x.

so the 1st consecutive number is x

so the 2nd consecutive number is (x+1)

so the 3rd consecutive number is (x+2).

According To Question----:

here middle number stated is (x+1),

so equation formed is 3(x+1)=x+(x+2)+176

3(x+1)=x+(x+2)+176;(3x+3=2x+178)

(Subtracting 2x on both sides of the equation)

3x-2x+3=2x-2x+178;x+3=178 (Subtracting 3 on both sides of the equation)

x+3-3=178-3;(x=175)

so the 1st consecutive number is 175.

so the 2nd consecutive number is (175+1)=176.

so the 3rd consecutive number is (175+2)=177.

hence the three consecutive numbers are-175,176,177
