Three equidistant rational number between

 \frac{2}{3} and \:  \frac{4}{5}

are -

 \frac{41}{60} , \frac{42}{60} \: and \:  \frac{43}{60}

GIVEN

Two fractional number - 2/3 and 4/5

TO FIND

3 Equidistant rational numbers.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows -

Rational numbers are numbers that can be represented in the from of fraction as 'a/b'

To Find out rational numbers , we will first convert the given fraction into like fraction. To do so, we will take out the LCM of the denominators.

LCM of 3 and 5 = 3× 5 = 15

So, we can write 2/3 and 4/5 as -

10/15 and 12/15

we can find only one rational number ie., 11/15

So, we will multiply both numerator and denominator by a common number, let's say 4 -

 \frac{10 \times 4}{15 \times 4} , \frac{12 \times 4}{15 \times 4}  =  \frac{40}{60} , \frac{48}{60}

So three rational numbers are-

 \frac{41}{60} , \frac{42}{60} , \frac{43}{60}
