for finding rationals between two rational numbers
first see whether the denominator of 2 rationals are equal or not.
here in the given sum they didn't satisfy our condition so take LCM for 2 and 3.
Then after multiply each fraction with 10(both on numerator and denominator of two rationals). So u will get lots of difference between two.So by then you can find.

First of all take the LCM and make them like fractions.
1/2=3/6
1/3=2/6
so we need to find 3 rational numbers between 2/6 and 3/6.

If you need three rational numbers then you multiply the denominator and numerator of both fractions by 4. (if you want 10 rational numbers then multiply it 11)
i.e. 2/6=8/24 and 3/6=12/24
so the three numbers in between are   9/24,10/24,11/24

Manjhi: Same as above
hareeshdelhi: Yes, but in the age of space saving algorithms such methods are useful. I mean exact 3 numbers are extracted out with optimal figure multiplication operation of numerator and denominator.
