Question :-

To Find Total Surface Area of a Cylinder.

____________________

Solution :-

Given Information :-

  • ★ Height of the cylinder = 8 cm
  • ★ Radius of the cylinder = 14 cm

To Find :-

  • ★ The Total Surface Area of Cylinder

Formula Used :-

  • ★ Total Surface Area of Cylinder = 2 π r ( h + r )

Calculation :-

Total Surface Area of Cylinder = 2 π r ( h + r )

Substituting the given values,

⇒ Total Surface Area of Cylinder = 2 × 22 / 7 × 14 ( 8 + 14 )

Cancelling 7 ( in denominator ) and 14, We get,

⇒ Total Surface Area of Cylinder = 2 × 22 × 2 ( 8 + 14 )

⇒ Total Surface Area of Cylinder = 2 × 22 × 2 ( 22 )

Opening the brackets, We get,

⇒ Total Surface Area of Cylinder = 2 × 22 × 2 × 22

⇒ Total Surface Area of Cylinder = 1936 cm

Total Surface Area of Cylinder = 1936 cm
