SOLUTION :

The edge of a cube = 13 cm    (given)

To be found :-

The Total Surface Area (TSA) of the cube

and Lateral Surface Area (LSA) of the cube

Total Surface Area of the cube

Formula = \bf6a^{2} unit sq.   [ ∴ in which a is the side(edge) of the cube ]

             = \bf6 \times (13)^{2}  cm sq.

             = \bf1014  cm sq.

∴ Total Surface Area of the cube = 1014 cm sq,

Lateral Surface Area of the cube

Formula =  \bf4a^{2} unit sq.    [ ∴ in which a is the side(edge) of the cube ]

             = \bf4 \times (13)^{2}  cm sq.

             = \bf676  cm sq.

∴ Lateral Surface Area of the cube = 676 cm sq,

Hence,

The Total Surface Area (TSA) of the cube is 1014 cm sq.

and Lateral Surface Area (LSA) of the cube is 676 cm sq.
