Answer:

Let the numbers be =x, x+4

According to the question

180= 2x+4

180-4= 2x

176= 2x

 \frac{176}{2}=x

88=x

So, numbers are -

★ \: {\underline{\purple{\bold{Given \: that \:  -  \: }}}}

\sf \: The \: sum \: of \: two \: consecutive \: multiples \: of \: 4 \: is \: \bold{180}.

★ \: {\underline{\purple{\bold{We \: have \: to \: find \:  -  \:  }}}}

\sf \: Those \: two \: consecutive \: multiples \: of \: 4.

Let, the numbers be

  • \sf \bold{k}
  • \sf \bold{k + 4}

_______________________

★ \: \underline{\underline{\purple{\bold{According \: to \: question \:  -  \:  }}}}

\sf\implies \: k \:  + (k + 4) = 180 \\  \\ \sf\implies \: k + k + 4 = 180 \\  \\ \sf\implies \: 2k + 4  = 180 \\  \\ \sf\implies \: 2k = 180 - 4 \\  \\ \sf\implies \: 2k = 176 \\  \\ \sf\implies \: k =  \frac{176}{2}  \\  \\ \sf\implies \: k \:  = \boxed{\bold\purple{88}}\bigstar

Now,

  • \sf \: k = \bold\purple{88}
  • \sf \: k + 4 = \bold\purple{92}

\sf\therefore\underline{Hence \: the \: numbers \: are \: \bold{88} \: and \: \bold{92} \: respectively.}
