Let the two integers be x and y
A/Q,
x+y=2------(1)
x-y=8-------(2)
Solving (1) and (2) we get,

y= -3 and x= 5

Answer:

Two integers are 5 and -3.

Solution:

Let us assume that the two integers are x and y,

As per the problem,

x+y=2

x=2-y -------- (a)

x-y=8 -------- (b)

Substituting a in b,

(2-y)-y=8

2-y-y=8

2-2y=8

-2y=8-2

-2y=6

-y=3

y=-3 -------- (c)

Substituting (c) in a

x=2-(-3)

x=2+3

x=5

Therefore, the two integers are 5 and -3.
