let the two numbers be x and x + 18.
sum of the two numbers = 92
therefore x + x + 18 = 92
==> 2x + 18 = 92
==> 2x = 92 - 18
==> 2x = 74
==> x = 74/2
==> x = 37
hence, first number = x
= 37
second number = x + 18
= 55
VERIFICATION:-
sum of the numbers = 37 + 55
= 92
