find two rational numbers whose sum is 3/2 and if the greater is divided by the smaller , the result is 2

let the greater rational no. be x and smaller rational no. be y.
then,
A.T.P.
x+y=3/2-equation no. 1
and
x/y=2,
x=2y. put x = 2y in equation 1
then it will be
2y+y=3/2
3y=3/2
y=1/2 put value of y in x=2y
x=2(1/2)
x=1
Hence the two rational no.s are 1 and 1/2
