find value of 2x+3y=-4 and x-5y=1 by substitution method ​

Answer:

2x + 3y = -4

2x = -3y -4

x = -3y -4/2 ------------(1)

x - 5y = 1

putting (1),

-3y -4 /2 -5y = 1

-3y -4 -10y = 2

-13y = 6

y = -6/13

putting this in (1)

x = -3(-6/13) -4/2

= 18 -4/26

= 14/26

x = 7/13.
