Solution

→ cos∅/(1 - sin∅) + cos∅/(1 + sin∅) = 4

Taking L.C.M we get,

→ [cos∅(1 + sin∅) + cos∅(1 - sin∅)]/(1 - sin²A) = 4

Taking cos∅ common we get,

→ cos(1 + sin∅ + 1 - sin∅)/cos²A = 4

→ 2/cos∅ = 4

→ 2/4 = cos∅

→ 1/2 = cos 60° = cos∅

Hence value of ∅ is 60°.
