Verification -

Substituting the value of x and y on (i) and (ii)

5/(x + y) - 2/(x - y) = - 1

= 5/(3 + 2) - 2/(3 - 2) = - 1

= 5/5 - 2/1 = - 1

= 1 - 2 = - 1

= - 1 = - 1

LHS = RHS

And

15/(x + y) + 7/(x - y) = 10

= 15/(3 + 2) + 7/(3 - 2) = 10

= 15/5 + 7/1 = 10

= 3 + 7 = 10

= 10 = 10

LHS = RHS
