substituting the value of x from eq1

4(11-4y)/3+3y=10

(44-16y)/3+3y=10

(44-16y+9y)/3=10

44-7y=30

44-30=7y

y=14/7

y=2

Again ,

sustituting the value of y in eq 1

x=(11-4*2)/3

x=1

∴x+y=1+2=3
