Given : (x- h)² + 4a(y- k) =0

To Find : vertex, focus, directrix of parabola

Solution:

(x- h)² + 4a(y- k) =0

=>  (x- h)²  = - 4a(y- k)

=> (x- h)²  =   4(-a)(y- k)

Vertical  Parabola with vertex (h,k)

vertex =  ( h , k )

focus = ( h , k - a)

Directrix  y = k + a
