Solution for x and y.

bx / a ay / b = a2 + b2 ----- eq 1

x+y = 2ab ------- eq 2

from eq1 ----- b2x + a2 ab = a2 + b2

→ b2 x a2y = a3 b - a2y

→ b2 (x-ab) = a2 (ab - y)

from eq2 ----- b2 (x - x/2 + y/2)

= a2 (x/2 + y/2 - y)

→ b2 ( x/2 - y/2) = a2 (x/2 + y/2)

→ b2 x - b2y = a2x - a2y

→ x = y --------

put the value of x in eq2 ----- 2y = 2ab.

y=ab=x

Answer:

The value of x is x=a*b and value of y is y=a*b

Step-by-step explanation:

  • In the question it is given that
    \frac{b}{a} * x + \frac{a}{b} * y =a^2+b^2
    x+y = 2*a*b
  • On solving the above equation by simultaneous linear method we get
    \frac{b}{a} * x + \frac{a}{b} * y =a^2+b^2 * (1)
    x+y = 2*a*b *(\frac{b}{a} )
  • On furthur solving we get
    \frac{b}{a} * x + \frac{a}{b} * y =a^2+b^2
  • \frac{b}{a} * x + \frac{b}{a} * y = 2 *b^2
  • On substracting the above 2 equations we get
    y*(a^2-b^2)= a*b*(a^2-b^2)\\y=a*b
  • On putting the value of y in any of the above equation we are getting the value of x as
    x=a*b
  • Hence the value of x is x=a*b and value of y is y=a*b
