120° + y = 180° (Linear pair)

y = 60°

Let the three angles of the given triangle be x,y and z.

According to the figure,

100° + z = 180° (Linear pair)

z= 80°

We know,

Sum of all angles of a triangle = 180°

thus,

x + y + z = 180°

x + 60° + 80° = 180°

x = 180° - 140°

x = 40°
