The value of x is 2.

Given,

f(x)=3x+1 and g(x)= x+3.Also, gff(x)=fgg(x)

To find,

The value of x.

Solution,

When we use the terms fgg(x) or gff(x), it means that we have to place the function in the place of x and then place the answer in the place of function. This is how we can solve the function.

We have been given,

gff(x)=fgg(x)

Let's find both values.

gff(x)

gf(3x+1)

g[3(3x+1)+1]

g[9x+3+1]

g(9x+4)

9x+4+3

9x+7....equation(1)

Now, lets find the value of fgg(x)

fg(x+3)

f[(x+3)+3]

f[x+6]

3(x+6)+1

3x+19...equation(2)

Now, let's equate equations 1 and 2.

9x+7=3x+19

6x=12

x=2.

So, the value of x is 2.
