slope= (-11-2)/(8-x)
or, -3/4= -13/(8-x)
or, -24+3x= -52
or, x = -28/3

Slope = -3/4

co-ordinates :

let (x,2) be (x1,y1) and (8,-11) be (x2,y2)

as we know that

y2-y1/x2-x1 = slope

=) -11-2/8-x = -3/4

=) -13/8-x = -3/4

=) -52 = -24+3x (by cross multiplication)

=) -52+24 = 3x

=) -28 = 3x

=) -28/3 = x

hope this answer helps
