it will be 80 degree

let the angle adjacent to 120 degree be A
and it will be 180-120 coz forms a linear pair so ANGLE a is 60 degree

now angle a and 40 degree and that angle together form a triangle so 
the angle y will be 100 degree and x will be 180-100...that is x=80 degree
