According to the question ;
( 33 + x ) / ( 8 + x ) = 3 / 2
On transposing we get ,
=> ( 33 + x ) × 2 = 3 × ( 8 + x )
=> 66 + 2x = 24 + 3x
=> 66 - 24 = 3x - 2x
=> 42 = x
or x = 42
