Answer:

the answer is 7/13

Step-by-step explanation:

x=5/2

y=-3/4

x+y= 5/2+(-3/4)

= 5/2-3/4

= (20 - 6)/8

= 14/8

= 7/4

x-y = 5/2-(-3/4)

= 5/2+3/4

= (20+6)/8

= 26/8

= 13/4

(x+y)/(x-y)= (7/4)/(13/4)

= 7/13

Given ,

x=5/2

and

y=-3/4

To find :

 \frac{x + y}{x - y}

So first find x+y

put the value of x and y

x+y =

 \frac{5}{2 }  +  \frac{</strong><strong>-</strong><strong>3}{4}  \\  =  &gt;  \frac{10 </strong><strong>-</strong><strong>3}{4}  \\  =  &gt;  \frac{</strong><strong>7</strong><strong>}{4}

Now

x-y=5/2-(-3/4)

=5/2+3/4=13/4

now x+y/x-y

put the values of x+y and x-y

=> (7/4)/(13/4)

4 gets cancel out then,

=> 7/13

Hence the value is 7/13
