Factorising p(x)
p(x) = 24x² - 65x + 21
⇒ 24x² - 24x - 21x + 21
⇒ 24x(x - 1) - 21(x - 1)
⇒ (x - 1) (24x - 21)
To find the zeroes of the polynomial.
⇒ (x - 1) (24x - 21) = 0
⇒(x - 1) = 0     (or)     (24x - 21) = 0
⇒x = 1      (or)      24x = 21
⇒ x =1      (or)      x = 21/24
∴ the zeroes of the polynomial p(x) are 1 and 21/24.
