Mean age of the population is obtained by adding the age of all the people and dividing them by the number of persons. It is the average of the number of years that people have lived. Median age divides the population into two halves, with one half aged above the median and the other half below. Mode of the distribution is that age where you find the maximum number of people. As deaths take place over the ages, but for the effect of decreases in population in the past that would have resulted in lower number of child births in recent years, the mode would be at '0'.
