kx+3y-3=0........(I)
12x+ky-6=0.........(II)
By comparing I & II with equation ax+by+c=0
a1=k ; b1=3 ; c1=-3 ; a2=12 ; b2=k ; c2=-6
According to question,
=a1÷a2=b1÷b2 is not equal to c1÷c2
=k/3 = 3/k is not equal to-3/-6
For finding the value of k take the equal equation.
= k/3 = 3/k
= k×k=3×3
= k^2=9
= k=√9
= k=3
thus, the value of k is 3.
