Given : Number of button in Shirt & Jacket

To find : How many buttons are there in a Fiona's Fashion shirt, and how many buttons are there in a jacket?​

Solution:

Let say number of button in a Fiona's Fashion shirt = S

& number of button in a jacket  = J

36S  + 42J  =  842

Dividing by 2 on both sides

=> 18S  + 21J  = 421

6S + 7J  = 137

Multiplying by 3 on both sides

=> 18S + 21 J  = 411

18S  + 21J  = 421

18S + 21 J  = 411
