Fish and frogs lay hundreds of eggs at a time, whereas a hen lays only one egg at a time. Explain the mechanism behind it.

fishes and frogs lay hundreds of eggs at a time, whereas a hen lays only one egg at a time because fishes and frog lays egg in water where other aquatic animals eats so they lay hundreds of eggs at a time. and one more reason is their fertilization takes place outside.
