Shahpura police have arrested a five-member gang from Sevay Market that was involved in eight burglaries and recovered stolen valuables from their possession.

Police said that acting on a tip off regarding men who were trying to sell jewlery at Sevay market team was rushed to the spot and detained them and the accused were not able to provide details of jewelry and confessed burglary.

During the investigation the nabbed accused confessed eight burglaries in the past one year, three burglaries were commited in Shahpura area while five were committed in Baghsewania area. The details of burgled goods would be revealed in the further investigation and the gang has been sent under police custody.

The nabbed accused were identified as Golu Ramlochan (24) of Shahpura, Chhotu Jatav (22) of Habibganj, Nandu Kushwaha (29) of Habibganj, Pradeep Baghel (19) of Mira Nagar and Parmanand sahu (19) Mira Nagar. Police have recovered jewlery and utensils of brass and aluminium which were stolen from Shahpura in three burglaries.

Chhotu Jathav has been booked by Shahpura police, Golu has been for 6 burglariesand 2 Arms Act cases by Shahpura, Habibganj and Baghsewania police and Nandu has been booked for assault by Habibganj and GRP for theft.

The details of burgled goods from Baghsewania area would be revealed later as accused have been sent under police custody. One mobile phone stolen from Baghsewania area has been recovered while valuables of four burglaries in the area are yet to be recovered. Other members involved in the burglaries would be searched and arrested.
