Answer:

The selling price per kg was Rs 67.5.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Cost of 5 kg of ghee is Rs. 300, overall loss is 10% and 1 kg is unsaleable.

To find the selling price of the ghee per kg.

Cost price of 5 kg Ghee = Rs 300.

Over all loss = 10%

=> Over all loss = 10% of 300

                         =30 Rs

So, selling price = Rs (300-30)

                          = Rs 270

As it is given that he sold only 4kg of ghee so the selling price per kg is given by:

Selling price of  4 kg ghee = Rs 270

Selling price of 1 kg ghee = Rs 270/4

                                           =Rs 67.5

Answer:

The price of butter per kg  = Rs.67.5

Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN:

cost of 5 kg of butter is Rs.300, overall loss is 10% and 1 kg is unsaleable

To find the selling price of the butter per kg

cost price of 5 kg butter =Rs.300

overall loss =10%

over all loss = 10% of 300

                     = Rs.30

So , selling price =Rs(300-30)

                            =Rs.270

As it is given that he sold only 4kg of butter so the selling price per kg is given by:

selling price of 4kg butter =Rs.270

selling price of 1 kg of butter = Rs 270/4

                                                 =Rs.67.5
