2x+3x+5x+8x+9x = 162

27x = 162

x = 162/27 = 6

then,

a = 2x = 12

b = 3x = 18

e = 9x = 54

average of all these numbers = (12+18+30+48+54)/5 = 32.4

2nd way

without finding x we can do it  because

average = sum of all the numbers/total number of numbers

average = 162/5 = 32.4
