Swami Vivekananda was a great patriotic leader, Indian Hindu monk, a chief disciple of the 19th century.

He founded the Ramakrishna Mission and Ramakrishna Math. 

He was born on 12 January 1863  in a Bengali family at his ancestral home at 3 Gourmohan Mukherjee Street in Calcutta.

In Childhood he was named Narendranath Datta. 

His father Vishwanath Datta was an attorney of Calcutta High Court. And his mother was Bhuvaneshwari Devi.

Gadadhar Chattopadhyay was the Guru of Swami vivekananda.

He is also a  freedom fighter in the real sense of the term. He fought for the freedom of his soul from the repeated births and deaths.

He died On 4 July 1902 at the age 39 years at Belur.
