ANSWER:-

Given:

Five square flower beds each of sides 1m are dug on a piece of land 5m long & 4m wide.

To find:

The area of the remaining part of the land.

Solution:

Side of the square bed is 1m

We know, area of square= Side²

=) 1m × 1m

=) 1m²

Area of 5 square bed= 5× 1m² = 5m²

Therefore,

•Length of land= 5m

•Breadth of land= 4m

So,

Area of land= 5m × 4m

=) 20m²

Now,

Area of remaining part of the flower bed;

=) Area of land - area of 5 flower beds

=) 20m² - 5m²

=) 15m²

Hope it helps ☺️
