let the present ages of man Be X and the present age of Son be y.

BY THE FIRST GIVEN CONDITION,

5x=12y
5x-12y=0......................................(1)

BY THE SECOND GIVEN CONDITION,

 \frac{x - 5}{y - 5} =  \frac{11}{4}

4(x-5)=11(y-5)
4x-20=11y-55
4x-11y=-55+20
4x-11y=-35 .......................................(2)

[ multiply equation number (1) by 4 and equation number (2) By5)]

20x-48y=0.....................................(3)
20x-55y=-175................................(4)

[subtracting equation number (4)from question number (3)]
WE GET,

7y=175
y=175/7
y=25

[substituting the y=25 in equation no. (1)]
5x-12y=0
5x-12(25)=0
5x-300=0
5x=300
x=300/5
x=60

SOLUTION:
x=60;y=25

FINAL ANSWER:
THE present AGE OF MAN IS 60 YEARS AND Son's AGE IS 25 years.
