Here your answer goes

Correction as below :-

After Five year a mother's age will be three times that of her daughter's and five year ago, the mother was 7 times as the daughter was. find their present ages ?

Step :- 1

Let the age of mother be x

So , the age of mother's daughter by y

Step :- 2

According to given Question ,

After Five years ,

x + 5 = 3( y + 5)

⇒ x + 5 = 3y + 15

=> x = 3y + 15 - 5

⇒ x = 3y + 10

Take whole the Equation on L.H.S

= > x - 3y - 10 = 0 ------>> 1

Five years ago ,

( x - 5 ) = 7(y - 5 )

⇒ x - 7y +30 ------>> 2

Step :- 3

Subtracting equation (ii) from equation (i) , we get

4y - 40 = 0

⇒ y = 10

Step :- 4

Putting y = 10 in equation (i) , we get

x - 3y - 10

⇒ x - 30 - 10 = 0

⇒ x = 30 + 10

⇒ x = 40

Hence , the present age of father is 40 years and present age of son is 10 years
