Hiii friend,
Let the age of Amit and Arman be X and Y year's.
Before five years age of Amit = (X-5) years.
Before five years age of Arman = (Y-5) years
According to question,
(X-5) = 3(Y-5)
X -5 = 3Y -15
X-3Y = -15+5
X-3Y = -10.......(1)
Again,
After 10 years age of Amit = (X+10) years
After 10 years age of Arman = (Y+10) years
According to question,
(X+10) = 2(Y+10)
X+10 = 2Y +20
X -2Y = 20-10
X -2Y = 10........(2)
From equation (1) we get,
X -3Y = -10
X = -10+3Y........(3)
Putting the value of X in equation (2)
X -2Y = 10
-10 + 3Y -2Y = 10
Y -10 = 10
Y = 10+10 => 20 years.
Putting the value of Y in equation (3)
X = -10 + 3Y => -10 + 3 × 20 = 60-10 = 50 years.
Hence,
Age of Amit = X = 50 years
and,
Age of Arman = Y = 20 years.
