flash and thunder are produced simultaneously. but thunder is heard a few seconds after the flash is seen, why?

Because speed of light is fast than speed of sound

this is because of the great difference in the speed of sound and speed of light. speed of light is faster so the flash is seen first and later we hear the thunder
