Answer:

P_{1}*V_{1}=P_{2}*V_{2}

P_{2} =\frac{P_{1}*V_{1}  }{V_{2} }

The final volume=15L

The partial pressure of the helium decreases to \frac{12*5}{15} =4kPa

The partial pressure of the Neon to \frac{6*10}{15} =4kPa

Then the final pressure will be the sum of the two partial pressures=8kPa

Answer:8kPa

Explanation:

To answer this question we must know the formula P1*V1=P2*V2.

Rearrange the formula to find the final pressure. The total volume is 15 dm3, P1*V1/15.

Partial pressure of Helium: 12*5/15 = 4kPa

Partial pressure of Neon: 10*6/15 = 4kPa

Add both of them 4+4=8 .

Therefore 8kPa is the combined pressure at constant temperature.
