The plant in which sex organs are carried with in the flower and seeds are enclosed in a fruit called angiosperms. The sex organs of plants are its flowers. Majority of plants are bisexual having male and female reproductive organ in same plant . . parts of flower are :sepals,petals,stamen,carpel. 1)sepal:- The green leaf like part in the outer circle of flower are called sepal. The function of sepal is to protect the flower in its intial stage when it is in the form of a bud. 2)petals:- The colourful parts of a flower are called petals. All the petals taken together are called corolla. 3)stamen:-The male part of flower called stamen makes male gametes(pollen grains). Stamen has two parts :-1)Anther 2) Filament. 1)Anther:-Anther makes pollen grains and store them. 2) Filament:- Filament supports the anther, which is where pollen develops. 4)Carpel: The female organ of flower called carpel makes female gametes. These gamates are present in ovules are called ova or egg. Carpel has three parts.:-1)stigma 2)style 3) ovary. 1) stigma:-stigma receive pollen grains from anther. 2) style:- It is a tube which conduct stigma to ovary. 3) ovary:- It makes ovules and store them and contain female gamates.
