fluorine does not undergo disproportion reaction but other halogens do.why?explain...

Answer:

in a disproportionate reaction the element goes under oxidation as well as reduction. This means the element must show 3 oxidation states but flourine only show -1 oxidation state. that's why it doesn't undergoes disproportion
