focal length is =-25 and ristance of object is =-30 find the magnification​

1/f = 1/v + 1/u

1/-25 = 1/v + 1/-30

v = 150

m = -v/u = _150/-25 = 6

State whether it is a mirror or lens . The given question is inappropriate.

If it is a mirror,

then use mirror formula,

1/f = 1/v + 1/ u to find value of v.

Then , use magnification formula, m = -v / u and thus you can find value of m.

If it is a lens,

use lens formula and then apply magnification formula (m= v / u ) to find value of m.
